did a shout out for people who wanted to do art trades, and I couldn't resist! For me, she did my character Tweet, and for her, I did her character Sam.
She said that Sam exists in a world with ballet-ing monsters, so while I didn't have the energy to crate actual monsters in the background, I watercolored in some monster-y faces in there.
In my preliminary sketches that I had been doing, she had a much more exhausted look on her face, but it seems that such a feeling is only slightly expressed in this final version. I was originally going to go for more color too, but I bought a handful of grey copics last weeked, and I really wanted to mess around with them. ;_; (Honestly, I should have invested in a new palate of watercolors, since the ones I use are the elementary school Crayola kind... the educational kind.) I was also intending on getting this done last weekend, but I scrapped my first drawing and this is done on the flip-side of that; I guess I needed a week to sit and think on it. (8
ANYWAY, enough of my rambling on, I hope you enjoy this, and that I captured your Sam at least half decent, ~AbusedMollusc!
Ps- You guys should totally check out the image that she made me: here!
... Oh, and sorry for the bad ballerina skirt. X: I should have used a reference.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
