Skate Day Art Show in ATL

Fri Jun 20, 2008, 11:21 AM
As some of you may (or may not) know, tomorrow, June 21 is NATIONAL GO SKATE DAY. I recently made art upon a blank skate deck for dooGallery's Go Skate Deck Art Show which is tomorrow.

Some info:
Over 50 boards will be on display. The boards will be sold in a silent auction all day long. Proceeds from the show will go to several charities. (Go Skate Foundation, and local charities that are trying to build skateparks near Atlanta). The top 5 decks will be sent to Surf Expo to be displayed in the skate art show.

From Noon -6pm All Ages may view & bid on the boards. No Cover. Non Alcoholic drinks & Beer will be available.

From 10pm-2am is a 21+ party. The auction will close at 10pm. $10 door donation. Alcoholic drinks will be available. Live music by TBA & DJ Tommy Chung will perform.

A list of all live artists performing & times:
Noon TBA
1pm Ahmad Hassan
2pm TBA
3pm Beatrix Kiddo
4pm APOB
5pm Amul9

You guys in Atlanta should come check it out! If you do want to go, note me and we can perhaps set a time that we could meet each other! 8D (or I could send you my cellphone number so we can bumble around via text and completely miss each other. 8DDD)

Also, after looking at *tomhoshino's art, I feel so inspired to draw various monsters & obake. Maybe I will do a series when time permits! Next on my plate, though, is ~Obrey's trade, since I've finished Emily's, the skateboard, and the pic I was working on for an atty that is leaving the firm. Phew! Busy, busy! But I like it. 8)
